I've often wondered why I wander...
Wandering is fun after all! One never knows where we may end up! There's always a start to a journey, but I believe there is no end. When we stop growing, learning, exploring, pushing our boundaries, and perusing what makes us happy, we stagnate and become complacent. Complacency is the death of progress and our true selves.
I never knew what I wanted to be when I "grew up". Well, I'm a grownup now and I'm just now starting to figure it out; I want to be everything! An artist, a photographer, a wine connoisseur, expert beer maker, author, professional blogger, designer, explorer, a master gardener, acclaimed "home" chef, a movie critic, a magazine contributor...the list goes on....
So why is it we peg ourselves into these neat little holes that we've told ourselves that's where we should be? I fully expected to be in a full-time career by now. As I've become older, I realize that particular path isn't for everyone; and that's ok! Life is what you make it, and I'm going to do my very best to make it a good one for myself and those around me.
So I'm focusing on my craft; doing what makes me happy (in my free time of course. I still need to pay the bills!). I think if we make time to do something we love every day, our lives will be more fulfilling, rewarding, and happy. Isn't that what we should all strive for?
So my goal is to make this blog about my travels, leisure activities, projects, DIY, gardening, and all things happy!
Stay tuned for some fun DIY projects and such. You really never know what you'll find on here!
Cheers!
